Diagnostic radiology: national protocol for patient dose measurements 1992-01-01 46 P. Prepared by Dosimetry Working Party of the Institute of Physical Sciences in Medicine The Dosimetry Working Party was set up by the Diagnostic Radiology Topic Group of the Institute of Physical Sciences in Medicine (IPSM) in 1990 to supervise and report on IPSM participation in a number of national and international projects concerned with radiation dosimetry in diagnostic radiology. One of these projects, following the recommendations of a joint report by the Royal College of Radiologists and the National Radiological Protection Board on patient dose reduction, was to draw up national protocols for routine measurement of patient doses as part of quality assurance programmes in radiology departments. This document has been published by NRPB to fulfil this objective. |
